Continuous research and experimentation with novel internet technologies has changed the world forever in just a few decades. Europe's FIRE initiative is creating a multidisciplinary test environment for experimenting and validating highly innovative and revolutionary ideas.
The workshop, Connecting European innovators to ICT test facilities - How to push research boundaries and gain competitive edge, is all about fostering the sustainable use of FIRE test facilities, for business, education or research. Taking place on 27 June 2014 in Paris, this dynamic, interactive workshop explores concrete opportunities for the uptake of large-scale test beds and platforms across a broad range of applications, services and technologies for the Future Internet.
The workshop focuses on practical information sharing between EIT ICT Lab stakeholders and the FIRE community to increase awareness on the supply and demand landscape. It offers an how-to approach on using ICT test facilities to support the validation of new products and services, including what to expect, planning, get started and pitfalls to avoid.
